Ian Taylor has more than 40 years experience in developing and delivering projects across the infrastructure spectrum. 

​

As a former Director of Arup, with more than 31 years at that firm, Ian has led major components of its transportation infrastructure projects around the world, including Hong Kong Airport’s Ground Transportation Centre, Midfield Concourse and Third Runway Infrastructure, projects at JFK International Airport, San Francisco’s Transbay Terminal, the Second Avenue Subway in New York, and Dublin Airport Terminal 2. 

 

Ian recently led the engineering and specialist consultant team delivering the Concept Design for Changi Airport’s Terminal 5.

As Global Aviation Business Leader, Ian led the team shaping Arup's offer to clients in that market for more than seven years, through the Covid-19 pandemic and into the sustainable aviation world that the industry now needs to embrace.

Ian recently led the consultant team developing and delivering a Development Consent Order (DCO) application for London Luton Airport in the UK.

​

Ian is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Ian Taylor

Managing Director

A specialist in the transportation sector, particularly in airports and rail/transit, Ian’s experience enables him to lead his projects with vision and clarity.  His strengths lie in his ability to quickly understand clients’ operational and project aspirations and to organise and direct the resources necessary to complete small or large-scale projects successfully.

Ian has worked on airport, rail/transit, road, bridge, business campus and transportation projects around the world and has played a key role on a many major projects, including Hong Kong Airport’s Ground Transportation Centre and Midfield Concourse, projects at New York’s JFK International Airport, the Second Avenue Subway in New York, Dublin Airport Terminal 2, Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport T3, Singapore Changi Terminal 5, Mactan Cebu Airport Terminal 2, and London Luton Airport’s Development Consent Order (DCO). 

Ian’s expertise includes planning, design and implementation.

Ian was a Director of Arup for 20 years and its Global Aviation Business Leader from 2016 to 2024.
